Master Bathroom

The next room to tackle at #WhenIFlipYouFlipWeFlip is the master bathroom.  Get ready guys, this is one heck of a “before.”

Drywall is up!

Tub and drywall finally!

The tile, the vanity, the mirror, the fixtures, AH!  It’s my worst nightmare.  Lucky for me, I love a good before and after and I think this one’s going to be ahh-mazing.  Here is my design.

The floor tile I chose is by far my favorite part of this whole renovation.  I found it at a local tile shop here in Nashville and I instantly fell in love.  The best part - it’s porcelain, not cement, which means it doesn’t require the frequent sealing cement does (and it’s easier on the wallet.)  For the tub surround, I chose a simple white subway tile that I'll stack (see pics below) for a more modern look.

The old vanity prior to demo only had one sink.  Since there is only one bathroom upstairs, I’m replacing the vanity and adding a second sink.  The new vanity will be painted a dark midnight blue (almost black) color to add some contrast.

I decided to switch it up in this bathroom and mix the finishes.  I chose a matte black faucet, brass sconces and cabinet hardware.

The minimalist in me obsesses over the Koehler Purist faucet, but it simply isn’t in the budget, so I found a similar faucet from Delta that is much more cost effective - and I love it!

And here is the Delta Trinsic. Same look for much less!

Finally, I chose these simple rectangular mirrors with an oversized black frame and gold sconces.

The cabinets and tile are coming in this week!  I can't wait to share more updates!
