Simple Guide to setting a Holiday table scape

Is it just me or did the holiday season fly by? Hopefully you’ve shopped and decorated and now it’s time to set the table.

The dining table is one of my favorite spaces to decorate (besides the tree, of course.) A fancy over-the-top table scape is not necessary to impress your guests. My motto is always to keep it simple, but striking.

I’ve created this easy to follow guide to setting a beautiful table scape.

  1. Adding real or faux greenery is the easiest way to add a festive touch to your table. I like to place it down the length of the table.

  2. Mix in candles in varying heights for warmth.

  3. In the center of the table, add a floral arrangement. (You’ll notice the arrangement I included is not a typical red and green one. This is because I think it’s important to stay true to your personal style - even during the holidays - while adding in a few festive pieces. I personally find red to be aggressive, so you won’t find any red in my holiday decor.)

  4. Linens! Add your festive napkins, tablecloth, table throw or runner. This year, I am using a buffalo plaid table throw from Pottery Barn.

  5. Finally, it’s time to put your holiday plates to use.

There you have it … an easy, beautiful holiday table scape!

Happy Holidays!
