Before + After #ClientFreeAsABird
So … it’s been a really long time since I’ve posted anything lately. Admittedly, I’ve been pretty bad about keeping up with social media. Sometimes it can all be a lot!
I decided to get my sh*t together and share project I recently completed.
I was asked to design a living space just off a dining room. The room had previously been used as a formal sitting room. My client (who by the way is the sweetest person ever!) felt that formal was not her style. She has kids and pets and didn’t want a room that no one could use. She wanted a space where she could sit and relax while enjoying her morning coffee. We decided on a neutral color palette with a bold ceiling.
When I presented my designs, she said I had read her mind (best compliment ever!) I showed her a neutral, modern sofa with clean lines, a pair of canvas sling chairs and a bench for a coffee table, since we weren’t working with a ton of space. The piano in the room is a family piece that needed to stay, but she wasn’t loving how formal it made the space feel. I decided to make it feel a little more casual by adding a mirror, a tree and a lamp. I also swapped out the piano bench for a braided pouf.
Instead of receiving each piece as it came in, my client decided she wanted a big reveal! It was so fun to put everything together and wait for her to get home to see the finished product. Here are some (crappy iphone) pictures I took of the finished product.
That’s it! I hope you love it as much as we do!
